The Gretsch White Falcon is a visually distinctive guitar commercially introduced in 1955 by Gretsch. While it has seen vast and substantial changes to its body shape and features through the years, and is currently offered in several styles.

$12000 so that's about £7300! Hope that helped!
He plays many different kinds, both acoustic and electric. Most notably, he plays a smaller body Martin acoustic, as well as a Gretsch White Falcon semi-hollow electric. There's many others that don't come to mind at the moment.
I've heard a Gretsh White Falcon on two or three occasions and they all sounded like magic. Like the summer sun stetting over the ocean, like a light snowfall on a meadow. They have that very distinctive hollow-body sound. It is quite deep, but it doesn't lack high end either. It is quite a subtle guitar, and not designed for lead. But is a very, very amazing guitar. I would strongly recommend.
Prolly a White Falcon singlecut. The 6120 he used in Buffalo Springfield he trade for his Les Paul "Old Black". He had back problems during Harvest and preferred a lighter hollow body

Thriller
This may have been his earlier White Falcon modified or a complete custom job. The body was Gretsch and the neck Gibson. Note no name on the headstock. There is very little information on this and I am surprised that there are no records of any interviews covering it. Rumour is that it was sent to Japan for reproduction and never seen again. There are several threads on the web if you do a search, but they are mostly speculative about the guitar. Bob
Gretsch Anniversary Jr. Randy Parsons, a luthier, made it a doublecut for him and built the mic in.

from what i've read ( both on the web ad in richie unterberger's 'white light white heat - the v.u. day by day') lou used a vox distortion booster mini box which plugged right into the input jack on his gretsch. he also did a lot of mods on the gretsch's electronics, adding strat pickups and a built-in vox repeat percussion 'on/off' type tremelo effect. hope this helps.... rob r,
For the acoustic guitars, she plays mainly on Gibson ones : the Dove in the begining, a black j45 and now a kind of jumbo guitar (smaller). All Gibson ones so. For electric, she plays a lot on Gretsch ones : a white falcon and a duo jet. In clips, she also plays an Epiphone (a red dot or red casino) and in the cover of 'Drastic Fantastic' album, you can see her playing with a weird "like-made-of-diamonds" Firebird.
Clarence White played the acoustic guitar and the electric guitar.
