Each station transmits at a different frequency, and radios are very good at separating
signals with different frequencies.
Radios are specially designed to do that, because manufacturers assume that most
listeners prefer to hear only one station at a time. That's also the reason that the
FCC never licenses more than one station on the same frequency in the same city.
But if you want to hear them all at the same time, it wouldn't be too difficult at all to
build a radio that could do that for you. You could have a ball and knock yourself out.
Just think of the time you could save!

Because different radio stations broadcast at different frequencies, and the radio tuner lets you decide which frequencies to listen to. Radio station owners have to buy the rights to use a particular frequency within a particular area. When you are driving sometimes you will hear two stations overlapping as you move out of the range of one station and into the range of another that is broadcasting on the same frequency.

The only way your radio has of separating one station out of the pile, and letting you listen to the one single station you want to hear, is by frequency. If two stations are on the same frequency, then your radio hears them both when it's tuned to that frequency. If there are 100 of them, you hear all 100.
