Screamo is a version of the emocore, metal, ska, and others that resemble those. there are Screamo songs that are fully instrumental and have absolutely no lyrics.When the lyrics are screamed its not like your 6-year-old screaming because her older brother put a rubber spider in her bed but a throaty scratchy kind of scream that most girls cant reach. That's why in most Screamo bands the lead singer is usually a male.

They have always been a punk band. The album conviction was just alternative rock. They have never even said there emo or death screamo.
