WOW. Someone who actually knows what the Dr. Demento show is! I thought I was alone! Its difficult if not impossible to find downloads of Demento music since he was not the author or artist of those songs. Songs are licensed to places like Walmart.com and sony.com depending on the artist, original record company, etc. So it would be up to individual artists and their companies (Julie Brown, Bobby Jimmy, Ray Stevens, Weird Al, etc.) to allow their songs to be downloaded. Dr. Demento also will NOT sell tapes or copies of old shows, due to copyright laws. Thank goodness I have one old tape of a radio show.
The Demento website is offering online streams of old shows:

You could always buy a streaming media recorder (like Total Recorder) but I'm not sure what the copyright laws are on that. Probably just for your own use.
The Demento site also offers a list of playlists, categorized by year, month and day so you can at least get the title and/or artist name of a song that you heard. http://mypage.iu.edu/~jbmorris/playlists.HTML
