∙ 12y agoThey were all friends in high school. They were known to be very musical and hoped to be better then The Beatles. The band name came from the singer Adam Lavrine's favorite color maroon and the fact that there were 5 members.

∙ 11y agoAdam Levine and a few other members of a band called "Kara's Flowers" released only one album, in 1997, called "The Fourth World". It wasn't really too successful, but the album "Songs About Jane" was released by "Maroon 5". This album was a huge success and Maroon 5 gained most of their fans with their debut album.

∙ 11y agoThe band was inicially called Kara's Flowers. Adam, Mickey, Ryan and Jesse were part of it. They realised their first album called "The Fourth World". Like 2 years later James joined the band and Maroon 5 was born.
