Where do you find the radiator cap on a 1989 Jeep Cherokee?

Top off radiator, then fill coolant reserve to proper level.

You must make sure engine and radiator are cold because you can get hurt if hot coolant squirts out when removing radiator cap. Use a rag to protect your hand when removing radiator cap.

if its not on the radiator itself, there should be a small hose coming from the top of rad, follow this to the resevoir.There you should find the cap. Hope this helps its a closed system, you put antifreeze in the overflow. I know, not the best system. Check other posts that explain how to re-tro to a 92 and up open system.............Mike

If its an 89, it will be on the drivers side, closes to the firewall, of the cylinder head

Only the High Output ( 92-96) is on the thermostat.

The pressure cap is on the coolant bottle. The bottle is mounted to the firewall. You add coolant there.
