No, she didn't die. His parents' names are Jeff and Lupe Archuleta. Some people (like my mom) think that Lupe is his second mother, but I don't think so. David's family is made up of Mormons, and Mormons almost NEVER divorce. Just like Catholics. _______________ Both Mormons and Catholics do divorce. It's the 21st Century afterall. The Osmonds are very staunch Mormons and Marie Osmond did divorce. I can probably name a few more "famous" Mormons and clearly, those who are not in the spotlight you just don't know about. Catholics divorce all the time, just take Mel Gibson, who is a very staunch Catholic. He produced the "Passion of the Christ" and also had his own private church on his family compound; however he was a womanizer for years and finally his wife had enough. His current girlfriend is pregnant with his child. I am a Catholic, married to another Catholic in a Catholic church and I am also divorced after 30 years of marriage. The reason was my ex-spouse was having affairs so what's the point of continuing? I am just going to walk on eggshells, waiting for the other shoe to drop? Years ago both Jeff and Lupe had filed for divorce and a Utah judge granted them a divorce but Utah Law required that couples, about to get a divorce, particulary with children involved, attend counseling prior to the divorce being final. It is of course an attempt to see if the couple can work it out one last time. They never went to counseling so the final divorce papers were never signed. That probably didn't mean that the marriage is back on good footing. It probably just delayed the inevitable as I am sure this marriage is doomed. Children & money is the biggest strain on marriages and Jeff's business at that time was valued at $0 in the divorce papers. They were struggling and money is a big strain on any marriage. However, after David won $100K in a Star Search contest, this money bailed them out of bankrupcy and temporarily saved their marraige. They have 5 children and I have no doubt that Lupe has very little means to support her family if she does divorce. Jeff is getting probably around 7% of David's income for being a co-manager and David made about $2million last year so that's a big chunk of change. Who knows, he probably gives his family even more of the money he makes because he sure gave them the $100K he won years ago. No, if Lupe is smart she'll wait until Jeff has a nice chunk of money before she divorces him and gets half of what he is worth. She'll probably wait till most of her kids are independent too. She's probably turned a blind eye to his womanizing and or suspected he was getting "it" somewhere. Some women feel it's best their spouse get it off with a prostitute because there is no emotional attachment and it's just sex and not personal. She's fooling herself because sooner or later, he will meet someone in his travels with his son as now he's got more opportunity. That's quite a difference than being in a place where everyone knows you so you have to be careful.

It is 7/31/2010 and David should he finished up in LA and has this weekend off so he will probably head to Utah.
