For some reason I often wonder the same thing and i've come up with 2 possibilities.
1. Mary Austen probably has it. Mary was his best friend and confidant for much
of his life. I am very sure that she has most of his possessions as such.
2. At the height of Queens fame they had a full time wardrobe person who made that jacket for him from scratch. Perhaps after his death (and without hind sight) they gave it back to her as a keepsake.
Only other option would be his mother. For some reason I just dont think she has it. I think this one went to a close friend. Its a highly desirable item and anyone who owns it is subjecting themselves to a scam artist if they let out the fact that they have it.
According to Peter Phoebe Freestone's blog: "Jim Hutton had it for a number of years and then he put it into an auction where it was sold to a fan. It has been seen a few times at various displays when the fan has lent it out for others to see it up close".
