Former Fleetwood Mac Guitarist Peter Green left his last band, The Splinter Group some years ago, and was living quietly in Sweden and later Southend, England. In 2004, he performed a few shows with "The British Blues Allstars", a revolving band of players based around pianist Bob Hall. Their show at Nottoden Blues fest was later released on CD. He also made a one off appearance at The Albert hall, London, a charity show in aid of The Lord's Taverners, a cricket based children's charity.

For the next couple of years he was not too involved in active music making, save a few jams with his nephew Joe Green's blues band. In the last year or so, there has been activity. Peter now has another band, a micture of local Southend musicians and industry veterans such as Geraint Watkins. They played a couple of low key gigs in Holland in March, and Peter also appeared on a Belgian TV station playing "Albatross." Producer Pete Brown did some recording with this combo last year with a view to adding tracks to a new version of the Peter Green tribute album "Rattlesnake Guitar" and there was some talk that a full album might follow. It seems likely that any move Peter makes at this stage in the game will be in his own time and on his own terms.
