Rage Against the Machine is a band that combines heavy metal riffs with rap vocals and usually conveys a strong political message, usually layered with angst. They were formed in Los Angeles in 1990, and disbanded in 2000 only to reunite in '07.
Shortly before rage against the machine formed, the lead singer, Zack de la Rocha, was in a band called 'Inside Out.'
Inside Out were short lived, but they released one E.P.
They were due to release another, titled 'Rage Against the Machine' but the band split before the release. This name became the Rage Against the Machine we all know today. :)
they broke up in 2000 but now they are back playing live shows, and now they are working on a new album
