It's actually in the fuel tank itself. It's like a mesh sock and does not get replaced unless you are replacing the fuel pump in the gas tank.

∙ 11y agoOn the 2000 there are two filters. The main one is inside the tank and the second is an in line located on the rear passenger side near fender well.

∙ 13y agoon a Jeep wrangler the fuel filter is part of the fuel pressure regulator assembly which is located on the fuel pump module..... the fuel pump module is located on top of the fuel tank.....
