Ignition Off Draw (IOD) Fuse The ignition-off draw is a normal condition when the ignition switch is in the off position, power is being drained from the battery. The IOD lets the battery current feed various accessories that require current when the ignition switch is in the Off position. The IOD fuse is mainly used for a convenient way to reduce battery depletion when storing the vehicle for short term shortage, less than a month. Removing the IOD fuse does not eliminate all the current draw of all the various items. It only reduces the current draw. The IOD fuse is a 50A fuse and located in the Power Distribution Center at slot #15. The Power Distribution Center is located between the battery and the fender. The empty Slot #11 is for the storage of the IOD fuse when not in use. Look for square fuses - there will be 15 slots - the bottom row has only three slots - the next three rows have four slots - with the three slot row being the bottom row the #15 slot would be at the upper left corner - the #11 slot would be the next row down under the #15 slot. If you are looking to reset the computer it is better to disconnect the negative battery cable, wait at least two minutes, reconnect the negative battery cable. ---- ----
