The Sensor for the fans is located on the upper right side of the radiator, ( the Passenger side).
The engine computer uses the engine coolant temperature sensor to decide when to run the electric radiator fan. It is located very near where the upper radiator hose attaches to the engine.
the switch whether you have a 4 cyl or a v-6 is located near the thermostat housing. they are a two wire temperature sensor that the computer uses to turn the radiator fan on and off
It is the coolant temp sensor near the upper radiator hose.
It is located on the front of the radiator. If you look through the grill (at the radiator) you can see it. It is just off center toward the passenger side. It is a very small black piece of plastic. It looks like there is a short straw coming off the top of it.
on the 2002 model, open the hood, and on the left side of the engine, there should be a black box, above and to the left of the radiator cap, remove the black box cover with your hands, and you should be able to access the engine fuse box. I think there are three (3) different relays in there that operate your cooling fans.

Try the rear side of the radiator about 1/3 down from the top
If it is a temperature sensor, it is usually located on the top of the engine near the thermostat. If it is a "low coolant sensor", then it is located in the radiator (it will be the only item in the radiator that has a electric wire going to it) Either way, you would drain the coolant enough to be below the sensor, and then remove it and replace it with a new one. They are usually under $10-$20

The coolant temperature sensor is screwed into the engine, behind where the upper radiator hose attaches. That is the main sensor the computer uses to run the radiator fans.
Where is radiator temperature sensor located on a 1997 2.4L Chevy cavalier

its located on the side of radiator
It is located on the bottom of the radiator
It is in front of the radiator.
The low coolant sensor is located beneath the filler neck of the radiator, down maybe 2-3 inches.
Do you mean the ambient (outside) temperature sensor? It is usually located between the grill and the radiator, near the middle and at the bottom of the radiator.
