Without the Radio People stranded after a plane crash for example would die because there is no contact with the outer world. there would be no music to listen to when your driving to work or school. people would have to use the internet for contacting people. at just general stuff such as radio transmissions on planes and boat wouldn't be available.
Radio's are probably the best form of educating and entertaining people throughout the World. If the BBC did not have such a superb output of educational and balanced news and current affairs I would be a much less informed person. Virtually all my knowledge comes from Radio and TV but if pushed the TV would go first. I can work whilst listening to the radio,TV demands that you stop.
