The main language of prayer in synagogues is Hebrew, which is used in all services. English or other local languages are also sometimes used in Reform and Conservative synagogues.

Even in Orthodox synagogues, the Rabbi will sometimes give a speech or sermon in English or whatever the local language is.

The traditional prayers are in Hebrew, but in some synagogues they may be translated into the local language. There is one prayer, the Kaddish, which is in Aramaic.
