I dont know what happened to them, but weren't they awesome. I still have a cassette tape frome them...Sandie M. We would walk to Jose Murphy's in the 80's and sit on the "lanai" as soon as they opened and drink Coronas with lime in the sun until Blonde Bruce came on. Then we'd get hammered in earnest. Remember that old pink Cadillac he drove? Its funny how one doesn't realize they're living history until one looks back. Now I can see how that was an incredible, once in a lifetime moment. I was there, so I know...Bruce got more wasted and incorrigible as time passed until Jose's fired them. The band broke up and the side guitarist-who's name I once knew and cant remember but was INCREDIBLE- formed another band, The Blasters, I think but could be wrong, Bruce disappeared, and Jose's closed and re-opened as another stupid, colorless, tourist boardwalk bar. Sigh...them were the days. Addendum (From Tim): Bruce joined a band originally known as "Professor Oak and the Hurricanes," led by guitarist Billy Seward sometime in the mid 80's. They eventually shortened their name to "The Hurricanes" and played regularly in Ocean Beach, Ca for a few years. We used to go see them all the time. They had a great harp player: Aristotle Giorgio. After the demise of the Hurricanes, Bruce formed The Blonde Bruce band and played in and around San Diego until the early 90's at least. A company I used to work for actually hired him for a corporate gig around that time. I ran into him shortly thereafter when he had a gig at "Patrick's," a small blues bar off the Gaslamp quarter in San Diego. He seemed to be fully recovered from some kind of a brain tumor that he had removed. I *think* it was benign, but he was laughing about the state of his hairline as a result of the surgery, and it didn't seem like he had a poor prognosis or anything. Haven't heard of him since.

The prediction is the prognosis. I guess making the prediction would be prognosticating but I don't hear that term used much. It would be more common to say someone gave a prognosis.
