Jadis is a UK group who play progressive rock. The use of synthesizers adds depth and atmosphere. They are predominantly a guitar group who place an emphasis on the melody of their work. The Band first formed in the 1980's, although their first album 'More that Meets the Eye' was not released until 1992. They were led by Gary Chandler on vocals, electrical guitar. Although he is the know leader, the song writing credit is generally attributed to the untie group. Other members of the group originally included Trev Dawkin on bass, and Pete Salmon on keyboard. Later members include Martin Orford on keyboard, John Jowitt on bass, and Steve Christey on drums. The band was founded and originally based in Milton Keynes, but later moved to London.
