I do not know much about Tarja's parents, she has never really talked about them at all to the media. All that I do know about them is that they went through a messy divorce when Tarja was a young girl, and she was completely devastated by this experience.
Tarja dedicated the song "You Would Have Loved This" ,from her Christmas album Henkäys Ikuisuudesta, to her mother, who died of cancer in 2002. It is a beautiful song, and it also appeared as a bonus track on her debut album My Winter Storm. (I am not counting her Christmas album.)
