Yes, you can. At least in Sibelius 5 and 6. Sibelius 5 has the functionality to create a servicable "distorted guitar" by combining instruments and filters. A better one is available if you buy the "Rock and Pop" soundbanks. Not as sure about Sibelius 6, but it DOES have a guitar.
can range from about 250-700
I'm pretty sure that means that it models other guitar sounds. Its probably a reference to something like a Line 6 Variax guitar - it is programmed to be able to switch between tons of different guitar sounds. Look it up on musicians friend website, go to guitar center and try it out (if they have it).

A 12-string electric guitar has double the number of strings compared to a standard 6-string electric guitar. This results in a richer, fuller sound with a chorus-like effect. The unique features and benefits of a 12-string electric guitar include a unique tone, increased resonance, and a wider range of sound possibilities due to the doubled strings.
The standard tuning notes for a 6-string electric guitar are E, A, D, G, B, and E, starting from the lowest-pitched string to the highest.

You should consider restringing your electric guitar every 3-6 months to maintain its optimal performance.
Electric guitar strings should be replaced every 3-6 months, depending on how often you play and the level of wear on the strings.

Usually 6 strings for an average acoustic and electric guitar, but there is many exceptions. For example, electric guitars are 8 stringed guitars which consist of the average 6 strings EADGBe on a regular guitar but also have the two extra bass stings F♯and B. There is even a guitar called the classical guitar which has an unbelievable 12 strings on it. ,- Roxas Riku
