The Symphony Pathétique was composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Its full name is Symphony No. 6 in B minor, Op. 74.
Gustav Mahler composed a total of ten symphonies, of which two are accompanied by chorus: Symphony No. 2, known as the "Resurrection Symphony," and Symphony No. 8, often referred to as the "Symphony of a Thousand." Beethoven started this work in 1818 and it was completed in 1824. Beethoven's sketchbooks are also showing that the first bits of material that appeared in the symphony were written in 1811. This symphony is also the last symphony beethoven composed.
