The band Sum 41 are still together and performing. Bill Champlin is not teaming up with Peter Cetera to do a tour. The two are friends, and Cetera did some backing vocals on Champlin's last album. That is the extent of their professional relationship at this time.
They are collectively called "The Carolina Grey Boys" and currently (April 2014) they are Alexander "Sasha" Ostrosky, steel guitar/acoustic guitar; Jeff Marino, drums; Quinton Gibson, lead guitar/backing vocals; Lee Turner, keyboards; John Mason, bass guitar/backing vocals; and Garry Murray, banjo/mandolin/fiddle/guitars & backing vocals.
Matt Sanders/M.Shadows - Vocals and Piano. Brian Haner/ Synyster Gates - Lead Guitar. Jonathan Seward/Johnny Christ - Bass. Zacky Baker / Zacky Vengeance - Rythm Guitar. Their drummer Jimmy Sullivan/The Rev passed away the 28th December last year, so Mike Portnoy is filling in for them on the album and the tour.
