It was Ron McGovney, but he replaced after only one Album by Cliff Burton. Cliff was considered the original bass guitarist and was also inducted in the hall of fame in 2009 with Metallica even though he had died in a crash. God Bless Cliff and pray he is in Rock 'n Roll Heaven
The current bassist, Robert Trujillo has played with many bands such as Suicidal Tendencies, Infectious Grooves, Black Label Society, Jerry Cantrell and Ozzy Osbourne.
Ron McGoverney was metallica's first bassist but he only recorded the demo of kill em all before being replaced by cliff.
Metallica didn't 'compose' any symphonies, but they did play with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra for S & M and multiple singles.
Robert was as Bassist for "Ozzy Osbourne" Band (i.e. Ozzy's Band). Metallica didn't have replacement for Jason, so at first, they opted for their own producer "Bob-Rock" as Bassist (didn't work out though!) before Trujillo was appointed, he was in with 1 Million USD.
No the bassist is. Clifford Lee Burton (Feb 10, 1962 - Sep 27, 1986) was a bass guitarist with Metallica from 1982 until his death in 1986 also lars had some health problems but he is fine now

You can play any metallica song with even a 5-piece drumkit. What you need to play Metallica's songs properly is a double bass pedal or double bass drums.
Suicidal Tendencies and Ozzy Osbourne.
presumably metallica ... Such as James Hetfeild, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Truijo. I am not sure if you can play as Dave Mustain (Metallica's first Guitarist currently in the band Megadeath), Cliff Burton (Metallica's original bassist, who died in a tour bus accident), or Jason Newstead (Metallica's bassist from Cliff's death to the Reload album.)
no, sorry no giutar battles on metalica, unless you play with freinds
