Ben Moody was the original guitarist for Evanescence from 1995 to 2003. He was replaced by Terry Balsamo, who almost lost his career by a "head-banging" injury. During the same time, John LeCompt was often hired to do guitar work for Evanescence until 2007 when he was fired from the band by Amy Lee (lead singer) for reasons yet unknown. Troy McLawhorn has been their guitarist ever since.

Well it depends. If you want a guitar to play like in most rock songs get a electric guitar. If you want a guitar like a regular guitar with the hole in the middle or if you are a beginner get a acoustic guitar.
