That hoary old chesnut that is played to death every Christmas, 'Merry Xmas Everybody' by Slade. Written by group members Noddy Holder and Jimmy Lea. It went on to sell more than a million copies in the first year alone, and has charted several times since. Strangely, it was their last number hit. In 2007 it was voted the UK's favourite Christmas song.
The band that had 2 Christmas number ones with the same song was;Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody 1975/76 then 1991/92 ( 9 weeks the first time and 5 weeks the second, total - 14 weeks)

The face value of the 1975 Christmas stamps were ten cents each. Many people collect these types of unique stamps.
The other song was 'These Are The Days of Our Lives'.
There's many songs that celebrate the Christmas holiday. But, unless the record chart history has changed, there's only 1 Christmas song that hit #1 on the charts. That would be pop artist Bing Crosby, with the song "White Christmas." Bing introduced the song to the world by singing it in the movie, "Holiday Inn," back in 1942. Now, many artists in various fields of music, including country, have release Christmas music. Many have been hits on various charts. But, I don't know of anybody that has passed Bing Crosby, in having a Christmas single to hit #1 on any chart ~ including the country charts.
