They helped write there songs for there album as they thought it was a good thing to be a part of the song. I also know that Niall wrote more than this and 4 other song and Liam is the sexiest out of all of them ;P

∙ 11y agoOne Direction, consisting of 5 talented singers, did participate in the song writings but many songs were already written by other composers which allowed One Direction to sing out to the world with their published songs. Some songs other composers composed are: 'Live while we're while', 'Gotta be you', 'Forever Young', 'One Thing,', etc. However, some, but few, songs were written by the band members with minimal help from various composers. A song written by One Direction is 'What makes you beautiful'. One of the songs they sung was written by only Niall Horan and Zayn Malik, no help from composers. Songs, although written by other composers but sung by One Direction are given to One Direction to sing, I assure you. Watch out for the One Direction Infection spreading around the world!
