Mark Kozelek is to me an unknown. He has covered a lot of ACDC's material and has used 3 of their song names for Album names. He has "rearranged" other musicians work as well. His What's Next To The Moon album was all ACDC songs. I can't bear to hear what he has done to them. It's a sad day when an artist can't have one original thought for a whole album. I would not have even known his name except I asked a question about ACDC.

All of Kozelek's songs on that album are covers of ACDC songs written by Bon Scott, Angus Young and Malcom Young all from the band ACDC The song What's Next To The Moon is a song and it is on ACDC's Powerage album that was released in 1978. This in my opinion is one of the best ACDC albums. Probably because Bon Scott was still alive. The songs Sin City, Gone Shootin' and What's Next To The Moon are 3 of their BEST songs! I hate to say it because I haven't listened to it but this artist that you're talking about couldn't even have an original idea to make his album. The more I read about him the less I like him. Look's like he has torn up a lot of other artist's songs as well. He's used ACDC songs for the titles of 3 of his albums. i don't know the song title, but it is a mark kozelek song. i can tell from the vocals. he has a beautiful and unique delivery... he has been in two bands, red house paiters and sun kil moon, and he has also released stuff under his own name. that song from the sons of anarchy pilot might be from the new sun kil moon album, called "april," which is his only work i haven't basically memorized...or it might be some sort of outtake...if anyone has a title, please let me know...as for the person who asked this question, if you liked that song, go out and buy the self titled red house painter's album with the roller coaster on the cover (they released two self titled albums for some reason and the other one has a bridge on the cover, it's good too), which is, in my opinion, his best work. another good kozelek record is the sun kil moon album, "tiny cities," which is a modest mouse covers album. the songs sound completely different from the originals, totally tender and mellow. -the ten thousand dollar tattoo
