Melissa "MelSoulTree" Antoinette Grant is an international recording & performing artist from New York City's borough of The Bronx. Professionally she is known solely as MelSoulTree. She is a dynamic vocalist with a beautiful voice and an extreme vocal range (i.e. Phyllis Hyman/Minnie Ripperton). MelSoulTree has been featured on the well received "New Jack City" and "Semi Pro" movie soundtracks. She has also recorded for labels such as the Giant/Warner, Wild Pitch, Select, New Line and Soul Quest Record labels to name a few. She has been a featured soloist for many prestigious groups such as the Duke Ellington and PRINCETON JAZZ ORCHESTRAS. MelSoulTree has also been a member of the legendary Phil Spector's group The Crystals since 2002 and is known affectionately as the "Baby/Kid" of the bunch. As a member of the legendary Crystals she can be heard on their "Live in Asia" CD released in 2010. MelSoulTree has frequented the role of a soloist for Gregory Hopkin's GREAT VOICES OF GOSPEL in South America, THE GLORY GOSPEL SINGERS in Europe and DR. K.'s MOTOWN REVUE throughout the Northeast U.S. She continues to make musical ties with many notable acts and producers such as Smokey Robinson, DARLENE LOVE, NILE RODGERS and GRAND MASTER FLASH. Solo projects for MelSoulTree include "Rain", "Mel-Soul-Tree" and "Sacred Soul" all released on the international Soul Quest Recording label.
