St. Edmund Aerosmith was an English Roman Catholic priest and martyr, born in 1581. He was a Jesuit who was executed in 1628 for his faith during a period of religious persecution in England. Recognized for his dedication to his ministry and the Catholic faith, he was canonized as a saint by Pope Paul VI in 1970 as part of a group of 40 martyrs of England and Wales. His feast day is celebrated on October 25.
Aerosmith played in St Louis at the Kiel auditorium on April 16th, 1976. It was a killer concert with Special Guests "Angel" and "Slade" opening up for them that night. I still have my ticket stub.

Because that is the day when Saint Edmund (also called St. Edmund Rich or St. Edmund of Abingdon) is said to have died. The confusion is that there are two saints named Edmund. The one you are asking about was also Archbishop of Canterbury. He was born on November 20, 1180, which was the feast of the other Edmund, St. Edmund King and Martyr. But they are not the same person, and their feast days are on different days-- St. Edmund the Martyr's in observed on the 20th of November, while St. Edmund of Abingdon has his feast day on November 16.
