∙ 13y agoCharlie Parker, who was also known by the nickname "The Bird", was known for his influential role in creating pop Saxophone music. His full name at birth was Charles Christopher Parker Jr, but later on his parents nicknamed him "Yardbird". From "Yardbird" people finally gave him his final nickname "The Bird"; which he is still referred by today.
