On the actual recording it’s doesn’t seem to be stated online, but I have a feeling it may be Tim Capello, who people will know most from The Lost Boys Movie (which was released the same year as Dirty Dancing in 1987) and also working extensively with Tina Turner.
I just saw in an interview that he worked with Eric Carmen. Strange that he wouldn’t be mentioned, but it would make so the most sense.
