"Starcaster" makes a drum set that you can find, in a Hastings store. The tags on the drums and the heads will not say fender, if they do it will be "Fine Print" it will most likely say STARCASTER by Fender.
It depends on what model it is and what shape it is in. Many Fender Starcaster guitars are worth between $400 and $1,000. Some are less than that and some are more.
At that price the guitars are equally flawed and the decision is left to the individual's perspective. Personally, a starcaster would be my choice for a safe purchase. Silvertone is less known. Honestly, they're both decent.
Starcasters tend to come with odder parts and are made out of cheaper materials. So in the end it actually depends on what Squier model you want. Most of the time Squier > Starcaster
Hello The 2 first digits of the serial number is the production years so your Starcaster is a 2009

Squier is better than Starcaster. Both are cheaper versions of the more expensive Fender guitars.

There are a variety of different locations to find a Fender Starcaster in Manchester City. The Manchester Music Shop is a great and reliable store with a friendly staff. There is also Ultimate Guitar in the Manchester City Center.
alex turner has always used a fender stratocaster and a fender mustang. Although after the release of the second album we've seen him playing different instruments such as the Gretsch Spectra Sonic and his two fender Jazzmasters. jamie cook started playing a fender telecaster, then switched to a Gibson es 335 when appeared on tv and concerts, and recently he's been playing a Fender Starcaster, a limited edition from the seventies. :)
I bought it in the first days of this month and I'm loving it. I think you won't regret it. Neck is really comfortable, sound of Texas special pick ups is just amazing. Honestly I didn't expect THAT much from it when I bought it.
Really, don't do it! You'll need to route out very precise holes in a rellatively inexpensive guitar. I could never explain to you how to do it in this forum. I am an experience luthier and have done work like this. Save your' money, sell the Starcaster and trem. Buy something with a trem in it. Since you like Floyd Roses I suggest looking at Ibanez RG's. Fender may have good tones but their trem's are way out of date.

Trey's Languedoc's are full hollowbody electric so I would start there. Fender recently reissued the Starcaster, which is a semi-hollowbody Fender, something that is very similar to Trey's guitar. There are a few people that make immitation Languedoc's but you would be better off calling Paul and talking to him.
