∙ 12y agoAnne had many girlfriends, but at the time she went into hiding (she changed her mind almost weekly), she considered Jacqueline van Maarsen to be her best friend, Hanneli Goslar a strong second place. On the other hand, Anne told her diary, "Kitty" several times that she "had never had a real best friend" - that is what she considered her diary to be.
