All we know is the song was written by David Matthews and the track was produced and arranged by Kenny Clayton (he also produced Petula Clark). In those days, singers didn't always have a band of their own, and often used the studio band of their producer; so if you can find out who Kenny Clayton was using for studio musicians back then, that may give you the answer you are seeking. Clayton frequently produced Matt Monro during much of his recording career.
