British group originally consisting of Denny Laine, Ray Thomas, Mike Pinder, Clint Warwick, and Graeme Edge. First hit the charts in early 1965 with Go Now. Laine and Warwick left in summer of 1966, and were replaced by Justin Haywood and John Lodge. The group has had 13 top 40 hits, the biggest of which was Nights in White Satin in 1972 and Your Wildest Dreams in 1986
