He was a part of "The Corporation" The Motown "Corporation", which consisted of Berry Gordy, Freddie Perren, Deke Richards, and Alphonso Mizell, was a team of song writers put together to replace the song writing team Holland-Dozier-Holland who left Motown in 1967 to start there own record label. "The Love You Save", "Mama's Pearl", and "Maybe Tomorrow" was a project of the team of two Mizell brothers: Larry and "Fonce" Mizell.
