I would also like to know why it was named Thursday as there is no reference to this in the lyrics and no connection as far as i can see thanks Sheilaliz
The song "Thursday" was written by Sal Joseph (aka Joe Salviuolo), one of Jim Croce's best friends. Like many of Sal's songs, the title has no obvious relationship to the lyrics. However, to the writer it apparently did. The song is about a disappointing relationship, so perhaps the breakup occurred on a Thursday. Maestroxxx
