Ludwig Koechel compiled a catalogue of Mozart's works in approximate chronological order because most of them had not been published in his lifetime. It was published in 1862 and has been revised several times since then, so the numbers get a little mixed up for some works because new facts have been discovered about their real chronological order.
I'm not sure how many compositions of Mozart are in the key of D minor. Off the top of my head I can name these: Piano Concerto No. 20, K. 466 Requiem, K. 626 Don Giovanni, K. 527 String Quartet No. 15, K. 421 Kyrie, K. 341
Mozart wrote symphonies, concertos, sonatas and operas as well as a requiem. Arguably Mozart's most famous musical compositions are: Eine klein nachtmusik Symphony number 40 The Magic Flute (opera)
In classical music, pieces are often named by the type of composition ("symphony" "sonata") instead of given a specific name, so when a composer has more than one, they are numbered in the order written (or published) so that people know which is which. Not all composers have numbered their own compositions. Compositions can also be given a catalog number to assign it a chronological place in a composer's list of works.
Mozart's works were catalogued by Kochel. The K number comes from his name. Sometimes KV is used as "Kochel Verz".
Undoubtedly, Mozart's most famous piece is Eine Kleine Nachtmusik for string ensemble. His popular symphonies include Symphony 40 in G minor and Jupiter symphony. His popular piano works include Twinkle-twinkle variations and Turkish Rondo.
