The store is probably within its rights to refuse doing anything without a receipt. Unfortunately some people steal merchandise and then try to return it for the money. Makes it harder on honest customers. Check with your local authority to discover the consumer legislation relevant in your area. However, if you used a Credit Card, you MAY be able to take your case to them. OR, ask the store for an exchange rather than a refund.
everyone realizes you're not a good person

If the something is sold at a reduced price, if the damaged packaging is clearly identified, and you understand that the item is sold 'as-is' that is no return, no refund. If all these things are true then it is up to you if you still want to buy it.
Example: If you were found guilty and sentenced to either a fine or time in jail BUT the judge suspended the sentence.... it usually is suspended based on something that the judge wants from you in return (e.g: drive with no tickets for the nest 3 years - or - live your life with no police involvement for the next 2 years - or - something similar to that). If you fail to do these things the judge is requesting of you (in return for the suspended sentence), he could re-impose the previously suspended sentence and have you serve it as punishment.
That is some stores policy, but if you have the receipt , be firm but insistent, ask for a supervisor. Your last recourse is to tell them you will not shop with them anymore.
If you have a receipt you will be able to return it and if you don't you have to have the credit or debit card with you (or number) and if you payed with cash then no.
Some places allow you to return or exchange an item without a receipt. Others absolutely refuse. A few will allow you to exchange an item for in-store credit without a receipt.
Yes you can just make sure you have the receipt!
yes you can but the item can only be exchanged for something of equal or lesser value.
To return an item purchased with a credit card, you typically need to bring the item and the receipt to the store where you bought it. The store will then process the return and refund the purchase amount back to your credit card.
You need the receipt to return anything at contempo. And you will most likely get store credit.
A credit return is when you get your funds returned to you after already paying for something. Credit returns are also sometimes called refunds.
If you return something you bought with a credit card, the merchant will typically refund the purchase amount back to your credit card. This will result in a credit on your credit card statement, reducing the amount you owe.
No, you can't return a contract, that's permanent. A receipt you can use to return your unwanted purchases. A receipt is something you get to show your purchases and a contract is something you sign permanently to make an agreement with somebody. They are two totally different thing's. A receipt is not a contract in any sense imaginable. It is for money paid by one person to another, and that's all. Therefore, if there is a dispute about whether an amount was paid, that is where the receipt comes into the picture. No other contractual agreement can be inferred from a receipt.
When you return something you bought with a credit card, the amount you paid for the item is typically refunded back to your credit card account. This can help reduce your credit card balance or provide you with a credit for future purchases.
You mean, receipt? no. if the gamecube is crappy and it doesn't work, you need the receipt to return it.
