There were two deaths in Cher's family which caused her to be emotional during her performance of "Stay" by Shakespears Sister. Cher performed "Stay" on the October 30th show, only two weeks after her great-grandmother passed and just a month after her uncle Edward "Boo Boo" Lloyd died of an accidental overdose.
