It was originally an Arrows 45 rpm single B side, switched six weeks later to an A side by the band and officially released in the UK on May 9th, 1975. Joan Jett saw the Arrows do the song on their weekly TV series the Arrows show (ITV/Granada) in 1976 while on tour in England with the Runaways and she obtained their record. Years later she recorded a hugely successful cover (in 1982) with her version going to #1 in the USA.
The song is still published by the Arrows publishing company RAK Music Ltd. (UK) who have always owned the song's copyright since the Arrows original release in 1975.
