Kanye West wrote the song Heartless to comment on how females, despite the common stereotype being males, can be... well, heartless. It's quite a simple actually. He's in a relationship with a female that he's obviously perceiving to not have been treating him well. However, this can also relate to many other relationships that are in a similar situation.
Nonetheless it can be argued that the song in fact reflects his own "heartless" manner at times, as there's hints of his ego and the female's heartlessness being transferred towards himself.
