The answer to your question is rather simple. Madonna was born and raised catholic and as she got older in her years she began to take a look around her, while in Hollywood and noticed that all of her peers along with many others doning these mysterious red bracelets. She found out quickly what they represented and bam! she had to have one just like it, because like herself and everybody elsae in Hollywood she is an attention seeking person.
