Why did Nick Jonas have diabetes?

he found out at a hospital. he had been drinking a lot of water and lost 15lbs in 2 weeks, (only weighed 115 before hand) and his parents were starting to worry. they took him to the hospital during the prom themed tour, and he got told he was diabetic.

Well, your body produces insulin, and his body apparently didn't produce enough. It's not his fault. Certain people don't make enough insulin, and others just eat poorly and eventually get Diabetes. Nick would be the former.

He got it genetically. Type 1 diabetes means that the person didn't do anything wrong, they just got it from their genes of their parents and the parents before them, etc. He had too much sugar intake also. But he's healthy and he does what he can, he might get cured one day

They knew something was wrong so they took him to a doctor and she knew that those were all symptoms of diabetes so she gave him a blood test. And it came back with a deadly high blood sugar level so he was sent to the hospital.

type 1 diabetes is a genetic condition so somewhere in his family must of had type 1 diabetes
