America, like many other countries, is a celebrity-obsessed culture. Certain big stars are followed very closely by fans. And if those celebrities die young, the fans are deeply affected by the loss, even though most of them never really knew the particular celebrity. Whitney Houston was very popular, and many people especially loved her version of "I Will Always Love You," which was #1 for 14 weeks and sold millions world-wide. When she died at age 48, her many fans were extremely upset that her story ended so sadly, since it was widely known about her ongoing struggle with drugs (which contributed to her early death). I am not sure her death affected "America" but it certainly affected a large number of her devoted fans.

Was Whitney Houstons death a conspiracy?

Ray J supplied the drugs that caused Whitney Houston to fall and be killed- Whitney Houston said to me that he was the one who left the cocaine in her bathroom a minute or so after Ray J walked out of the bathroom. I heard Brandy say to Whitney "I just stopped by here so that Ray could go into your bathroom". Conspiracy to murder, maybe.

Would inflammation from strangulation show on Whitney Houstons neck if she was strangled in water?

There is little reason to speculate about this, since there are no reports that she was strangled. She was found unconscious in her hotel bathroom, and investigators did find pill bottles in her room. We do not yet have the official cause of death, but it is doubtful she was strangled.
