Because that is what Christmas is all about! On Christmas all "Christians" celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He IS the one who can save us from all our sins, all we need to do is repent of our sins(ask forgiveness and turn away from them) and believe in Him, that He is who He says He is. We need to put our faith and hope in HIM. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions regarding this subject.
Sincerely,
A friend

Surely this alone indicates the massive, deep and positive impact of the Christmas Season! No other holiday comes close- Easter- maybe a few songs, St. Patrick"s day- re-run Irish folk and pseudo-folk hits- but Yule is the big haul!

The characters in A Christmas Carol would be the same, whether printed or portrayed in either England or America. Many producers have adapted the story in unusual ways (like the Muppets), but the story and its people remain the same.
