Dobes have big floppy ears like beagles. Their ears are cropped at an angle so that scar tissue will hold them erect for a more alert and "sharp" look.
Yes. Malta is in Europe so it is not legal to Crop Dobermans Ears In Malta.
Doberman Pinschers ears are naturally supposed to stay down, but to get the ears to point up you would have to crop the ears. They would have to have a surgery for the cropped ears. Ear cropping should be done by seven or eight weeks of age. The ears will have to be taped which takes four or five months till the dog can have its ears stand up without the assistance of the tape.
all of them except doberman pinscher The boxer and great danes ears also have to be cropped and taped for them to stand up. The only breed listed with naturally erect ears is the Siberian husky
Yes. The most successful pair are two Dobermans from this same litter.
I own and used to breed min pins so know the answer to this very well. Tails and dewclaws should be done no later than 3 days old. If it hasn't been done and your dog is older, check with your vet. It may be too late. You also need to ask yourself why you want the tail docked and if it is that important to you, why did you get a dog that's tail is not docked? Ideally it should be done at 3 mos. However I have personally had a Min Pins ears cropped as late as 1.5 years of age and they stood fine. I owned a Min Pin in the 1960s and his tail at 6 weeks was already cropped. I didn't have his ears done simply because I don't believe in this cruel fashion and no one can say it isn't cruel. It's all in the name of the breeder and showing off the dog. How would you like your tail bone cropped and your ears cropped, stitched and dipped in brandy?

If a dobermans ears are pointy it means the dog has has surgery (cropping) done for their ears to stand and be pointy. A doberman is born with floppy ears and a long tail, but often get surgery to stand the ears and make the tail short.
You go to a vet! :)
Yes, absolutely! Vets are the responsible place to get it done.
Yes, it is true you can clip a doberman's ears in Malta.
No their ears stand up on their own.
Of course it hurts! Do not crop dog's ears! Don't listen to them, you can have a dogs ears cropped. Obviously it does hurt them, but that is okay.
As a rule, goats' ears are not cropped. Sometimes goats with floppy ears have their ears caught in a fence or pull the tags out, and that tears them. There is one breed of goats that has ears (the external, floppy part) that are very short or nonexistent, and that is the LaMancha. You can find information about LaMancha goats here:http://www.lamanchas.com/LaManchas have ears that are naturally that way-- they are not cropped or clipped in any way.
When ever they start to bleed.
The Blue Heeler (or Australian Cattle Dog) should not be cropped if it is to be shown professionally, as the ears should be natural according to the official Breed Standard. However, providing you live in an area where ear cropping is legal, the Blue Heelers' ears may be cropped for whatever reason.
When you crop a dogs ears, they do not grow back.
