Scorpions do not sting themselves to death. This old wive's tail arises from the fact that the tails curl over into the body as the scorpion dies...especially when it's being tortured.
Scorpions fall in the arachnid family (same family as spiders, ticks, mites etc) That being said, all scorpions have 8 legs.
Sweet dreams - Beyonce :D Separate ways - Journey :D Still loving you - Scorpions :D
firstly, it has an exoskeleton which is used as armour when in battle, sticky legs to prevent them being blown away by harsh winds, camouflage, and a few more.
Scorpions are predatory. They often ambush their prey, lying in wait as they sense its approach. They consume all types of insects, spiders, centipedes and other scorpions. Larger scorpions may feed on vertebrates, such as smaller lizards, snakes, and mice if they are able to subdue them. They capture their prey with their pedipalps, paralyzing them with their venom as well if necessary. The immobilized prey is then subjected to an acid spray that dissolves the tissues, allowing the scorpion to suck up the remains. As well as being predators, scorpions are also prey. Many types of creatures, such as centipedes, tarantulas, insectivorous lizards, birds (especially owls), and mammals, including shrews, grasshopper mice, and bats hunt scorpions for food.
Scorpions will attempt to sting you as a way of defending themselves - being stung is not a pleasant experience.

They don't feel threatened. They are TERRITORIAL & don't want their digs being used by anyone other than themselves.
Arachnids, being spiders, scorpions, harvestmen etc.
Some ants, such as the myrmecocystus mexicanus, will stand on their hind legs when they feel threatened or they're being attacked. They do this to make themselves look taller.

If a person is being threatened, they can go to the police. It does not matter if it is abuse or not (the relationship). Making threats is a crime.
