People don't die because they are Jehovah's Witnesses; People don't die because they don't take blood. People die because they are 'shot to death'. The question is like asking: Did she die because the Theatre didn't have security guards armed with guns to shoot the shooter first so he wouldn't shoot others? That's a crazy question to ask. By its framing, the question subtly implies it was the Theatre's fault. Jehovah's Witnesses want the BEST medical care they can get. Blood transfusions are NOT the BEST in medical care. So we choose OTHER methods that avoid the use of Blood. Sometimes giving blood DOESN'T help, people die anyway; sometimes other methods don't help either, people die anyway. People die for other reasons than being a Jehovah's Witness who refuses blood. No one can pin it on that one factor. Regarding the person in question - - I am not familiar with the person, to respond any other way than above.
