Depending on the kind of music, it is perfectly normal for music to trigger emotive responses; in this case fear, while one in in bed; i.e. in a state of vulnerability in particular. Highly dramatic, or 'high tension' pieces might startle the brain that is in a relaxed state, causing an adrenaline trigger.

On the other hand, simply dark, or exceptionally noisy pieces can cause confusion; coupled with the darkness (as most sleep with the lights off) this can cause fear due to a lack of feedback from actual surroundings, not to mention again the adrenaline rush associated with sudden loud noises.
