check your centerlink and your pitman arm
It can be stuck in 4 wheel drive or the idle control system needs attention.
depends what year it is. i know that the 94 models you just loosens the bolts in back of the power steering pump and the belts should loosen.
It is square and purple and lives under the dash to the right of the steering wheel.
It could be part time Select Trac or full time Quadra Trac.
